Picos de Europa, also known as Queso de Valdeon, is a semi-soft blue-veined cheese with PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) status from the province of Leon in northern Spain. This unique cheese, made from a blend of pasteurised cow’s and goat’s milk, is wrapped in maple and chestnut leaves after being matured for around six weeks. Similar in strength and saltiness to French Roquefort, we love its caramelised aroma and intense piquant flavour. More information (including allergens) >
My all time favourite and the strongest blue we offer. The blend of milks gives Picos a creamy taste behind the strong spicy flavours of its blue veins.

As my review title suggests, this is the best blue cheese I have ever eaten.
The aroma, flavour and after-taste of this cheese are all incredible and I will be buying again.
Only found this a month or so ago and have reordered an absolutely exceptional cheese with a really strong almost burning sensation when eaten really fantastic
