Ticklemore is a semi-hard goat’s cheese that is bright white in colour with a distinctive flying saucer shape. The texture is crumbly but firm with little holes. The flavour is grassy and milky with mushroom notes. Ticklemore is handmade by Debbie Mumford and Mark Sharman on the Sharpham Estate near Totnes in Devon. The milk is sourced from a mixed herd of 60 goats that graze nearby on Dartmoor. More information (including allergens) >

The lemony flavour and open texture of Ticklemore make this a really interesting goat’s cheese, and of course its wonderful shape!

Wine pairing with Ticklemore

Our wine expert, Katie Goodchild from Heritage Wines recommends Simpsons Wine Estate's ‘Railway Hill’ Rosé

"I selected this wine with a meal in mind, as opposed to simply grazing from a cheese board. A light Provencal style rosé is a great match to a goat's cheese and peach salad, a cheese and tomato tart, even a goat's cheese and caramelised onion pizza.

Kent-based winery, Simpsons Wine Estate draws inspiration from it’s sister winery, Domaine Sainte Rosé, in France’s Languedoc. ‘Railway Hill’ Rosé is reminiscent of the rosés from Provence. It is delicate, with red berry notes and a crisp acidity. The wine has been aged on lees giving it roundness and depth of flavour. I found the berry notes in the wine to be enhanced when paired with Ticklemore and its crumbly texture worked particularly well."

Ticklemore

This was delicious, would definitely have it again. I was even more surprised to learn that it was a goats cheese, as I do not normally like them, Would definitely recommend.
