Fondue "Meal Deal"

Get set for a fondue feast! Our incredible fondue meal deal contains the three Alpine cheeses you need for a classic full-flavoured fondue plus a selection of Alpine charcuterie and our handmade Slate Pickles!

Follow the included recipe to make an authentic Alpine Fondue Savoyarde. Emmental de Savoie PGI provides a buttery base with a delicate, fruity flavour. Le Gruyère Reserve AOP adds floral, nutty and sharp flavours, and Comté Vieux AOC adds sweetness and deep nutty notes. Thinly sliced charcuterie and pickles are traditional accompaniments to a cheese fondue and included in this 'meal deal' - all you need to add is your own bread!

Cheese - Ingredients: Cheese (milk).  

Alpine charcuterie selection (Villani Salumi Antipasto Delle Alpi) - Ingredients: Bresaola: beef, salt, dextrose, natural flavours, preservatives: sodium nitrite, potassium nitrate. Speck: pork, salt, dextrose, spices, natural flavours, preservatives: sodium nitrite, sodium nitrate. Salame fumé: pork, salt, dextrose, sucrose, spices, natural flavours, wine, antioxidant: sodium ascorbate, preservatives: sodium nitrite, potassium nitrite.  

Slate Pickles - Ingredients: Cucumber (45%), apple cider vinegar (antioxidant 224: sulphites), sugar, mustard seeds, ground cumin, turmeric, salt.

Tasting notes

Emmental de Savoie PGI is a mild, buttery and fruity French Emmental made from unpasteurised cow’s milk.

Le Gruyère Reserve AOP is a Swiss classic. It is made from unpastuerised cow’s milk and matured longer than standard varieties for greater depth of flavour.

This Comté Vieux AOC is made from raw cow’s milk in the Jura mountains and matured for 18 months for a sweeter and deeper nutty flavour.

Three mountain-cured meats include lean Bresaola beef, beech-wood smoked speck, and smoked salami seasoned with juniper and rosehip.

Slate Pickles are handmade by our chef Kim. Similar to cornichons, these mini cucumbers are pickled in a cider vinegar brine spiced with turmeric, mustard seeds and cumin. They balance the richness of fondue with a delightfully tart and tasty crunch.
